The budget is meager, due to coat of arms and expectations. But in Pesaro no one wants to give up and there are many expectations for tomorrow’s match. Coach Spiro Leka spoke about the moment and about Cantù: «This week we dedicated a lot to working on defense and rebounding, as well as increasing intensity and fluidity in attack. Cantù is a complete team, among the strongest in the championship and Basile with the status of “Italian” will be able to add a further foreigner. We will do our best, thinking game after game.”
The team comes from a (large) defeat in Brindisi: «We are disappointed by the poor defensive performance seen in Brindisi but the team has grown in various aspects, as seen against Cento. Cantù is a long team, with important and experienced players and with McGee who will return to the field against us. De Nicolao is one of the strongest point guards in the championship, the Italian core is of an excellent level but we have to think about playing our game, above average, to try to give the whole team a good victory.”
