Boston gets closer to Cleveland – Basketball

The Cleveland Cavaliers, leaders of the NBA Eastern Conference, suffered a defeat on Friday (local time), while their pursuers Boston celebrated a victory.

The Cleveland Cavaliers lost again to the Atlanta Hawks. Two days after the 124:135 in front of his own audience, the NBA leader scored 101:117 away. Darius Garland’s 29 points weren’t enough. Donovan Mitchell only made five of his 23 shots in the match and had to settle for twelve points. For the Hawks, De’Andre Hunter was the top scorer with 23 points. Atlanta became the first Eastern Conference team to reach the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup.

The Boston Celtics came within one victory of the “Cavs” with a 138:129 victory over the Chicago Bulls. The reigning champions remain successful for the seventh consecutive time. Jayson Tatum scored 35 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Payton Pritchard contributed 29 points.

The Oklahoma City Thunder consolidated their lead in the Western Conference with a 101:93 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander stood out with 36 points. Lakers stars Anthony Davis and LeBron James had to settle for 15 and twelve points respectively.
