During the night from Friday to Saturday, the Minnesota Timberwolves had to work hard to dominate the Denver Nuggets (119-116), while the Los Angeles Lakers had a quieter evening against the Toronto Raptors (131-125).

In their den, the Wolves scored a great victory last night after fighting a tough battle. Indeed, during Denver’s reception at the Target Center, Minnesota finally ended up winning, not without difficulty (119-116). It must be said that if the teammates of Anthony Edwards (29 points) and Rudy Gobert (17 points and 14 rebounds) started this meeting rather well and seemed to have taken the measure of their evening opponents, the reaction of the Nuggets, who went from -11 to +10 in the last quarter, logically complicated the situation. Thanks in particular to Nikola Jokic close to achieving a triple-double (26 points, 9 rebounds and 13 assists) and Aaron Gordon (31 points and 11 rebounds), the NBA champions in 2022 almost played a bad game against the Wolves. But, with their backs to the wall, Minnesota managed to finish very strong to go from 104-114 to 119-116 in the final moments of this match.

In great shape, Davis carries the Lakers

At the same time, the Los Angeles Lakers returned to victory after two defeats in recent days, against the Phoenix Suns and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Traveling to Canada to challenge Toronto, the team coached by JJ Redick logically won against the Raptors (131-125). Once again untenable, Anthony Davis pulled out all the stops (38 points and 12 rebounds), while LeBron James also had a very good performance (27 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists). He does this well to avoid falling into the trap set by locals RJ Barrett (33 points and 12 assists) and Gradey Dick (31 points and 7 rebounds). Thanks to this success, the Lakers remain in the top 4 of the Western Conference. At the head of the latter, the Oklahoma City Thunder continued their flawless performance, this time defeating the Portland Trail Blazers (137-114)thanks in particular to the new very good match of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (30 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists).
