| So we are off to a good start with the new season 2024/25, we have got a lot of happy players in the hall, young and old.
And we can now also reveal that this season there will once again be an event with some of Denmark’s absolute best badminton players.
Last season we had a visit from Anders Skaarup Rasmussen and Kim Astrup, whose PT is Denmark’s best, and a short time ago won silver at the strongly contested tournament Denmark Open in Odense.
This season we saw the visit of Denmark’s best women’s doubles with, among others, Maiken Fruergaard, a visit we are really looking forward to. This will be right at the start of the new year, so if it is something you would like to be a part of, hurry up and become a member of AVBK.
This year we will also hold our popular VIPiger event, where last season we had a visit from Amalie Schulz, who this year we hope she will bring her sister Signe, who like her Amalie is part of the Danish elite and coaches with in Brøndby at our elite training center.
Signe and her doubles partner Amalie Kudsk lost in two sets to Maiken Fruergaard and Sara Thygesen at the just ended Denmark Open.

Then we had our last event of this season.
And what a lovely way to end the season   14 happy badminton girls and one super good one Amalie Schulz enjoyed herself for 3 hours. There was girl talk, practicing masking, Kahoot! Quizzed and ate pizza.
We will do it again next season.

| Meet our 2 new Assistant Trainers
Some information from the Badminton Club
Our 2 young board members have now also started their journey towards becoming coaches. The first part of the journey has been completed.
Congratulations to Mille and Julia on a great course at Træner Akademiet in Kolding.

| Meet our 2 new trainers.
Filip and Jonas have now finished as trainee trainers, and are ready for the job as trainers in AVBK.
Both of them are seen here after their just completed course of DGI’s Trainer Incubation, they have also completed both the Assistant Trainer 1 and 2 course.
Here they are seen together with Peter, who is Assistant Head Coach and is responsible for the two new coaches.
They start as coaches on our U13 team on Mondays, where they themselves will be responsible for planning and carrying out training.
On the sidelines at each training session, Peter or myself, or both of us, will be back up and support the two new coaches.
This helps them get the best start on their new coaching careers.
I am looking forward to following the two on their new path forward in the club.

A goodbye and see you again
Our, by far the best and most talented badminton player Nikolaj, who this season has been Assistant Coach on our FamilieFjer team and U13 on Wednesdays, will now spend the next year at Efterskole. Unfortunately, this means that we have to say goodbye to Nikolaj, but of course hope that it will be a På Gensyn.
It has been a great pleasure to have Nikolaj on the coaching team and to be able to benefit from the great qualities Nikolaj possesses on a badminton court.
A big thank you goes out to Nikolaj for the great job you have done for the club.
We look forward to seeing you back at the club.
However, the club has a new talented badminton player in its sights, whom we hope we can entice to take over, so that we will thus have 2 talented helpers when Nikolaj returns home to us again.
More on that when we get the agreement in house with the new youth player.

Hello
AVBK Alminde Viuf Badminton Club has a new offer in the club.
The target group is from 25-60 +/- years
Feathers, community and flexibility for adults
FleksiFjer is a badminton offer for adults who would like to be part of a non-binding exercise offer, where you show up in the hall, do a short joint warm-up and then play matches with and against the others.
The target group is, for example, the players who usually rent a course. Or the parents of the children in the club. These are adults with busy lives who will not be obliged to show up every Monday at 7pm.
For FleksiFjer, you do not have to cancel, and the offer is not dependent on individual players stepping up.
It also does not require a trained trainer, but simply a rope holder who sets the framework for fun and equal matches.
Mondays from 19-20
Price DKK 600 including balls

What is Pay and Play? you just turn up at the hall and then rent a badminton court for an hour.

Price: DKK 80 for one hour.
It is open to everyone, both members and non-members. However, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
It is possible to borrow rackets and buy balls.
It is not possible to make advance bookings, you just come and see if there is a lane available. (it almost always is 🙂 )
Payment can be made via MobilePay.
