The Kansas City Chiefs may have won 30-24 in overtime against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday evening, but it was rather the state of health of quarterback Patrick Mahomes that caught the attention of observers.
At the start of the fourth quarter, while the Chiefs trailed 17-10, Mahomes found Samaje Perine in the pay zone, thereby allowing his team to tie the score.

However, during the sequence, number 15 injured his ankle, and had to temporarily leave the match. After being examined by the medical team on the sidelines, Mahomes resumed his place.
With 4:17 left in the game, Mahomes threw a pass to DeAndre Hopkins for his second touchdown of the game. Andy Reid’s men thought that this major from the wide receiver would allow them to win the game, but Ryan Miller leveled the score with a touchdown with 27 seconds left in the game.
It was ultimately Kareem Hunt who gave Kansas City the victory in overtime (8-0). Mahomes, meanwhile, finished his night of work with 34 converted passes on 44 attempts, for total gains of 291 yards through the air.
Cade Otton and Rachaad White provided the other lines for the Florida team.
The Buccaneers (4-5) will face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. As for the Chiefs, they will face the Denver Broncos the same day.
