Stuttgart. As is well known, a good four weeks ago the Remscheider TV judo team secured the national title in the Final Four of the four best Bundesliga teams. A few days ago, two RTV fighters also won the gold medal at the German Individual Championships in Stuttgart.

Johannes Frey (-100 kg) dominated in his weight class and confidently won the title. Nicolas Kunze (-66 kg) was also at the top of the winner’s podium.
However, he had a tough job to do in the semi-finals. The fight lasted 20 minutes before a place in the final was determined. Here he asserted himself much more clearly.

Gabler has to pass with a heavy heart
Bronze medals each went to Luke Cabecana from Wermelskirchen (-60 kg) and Philip Drexler (-73 kg). Also there were Vincent Wieneke (5th, -73 kg), Maxim Taran (5th, -60 kg), Michael Krieger (7th, -81 kg), Liam Herrmann (7th, -66 kg) and Lawrence Reysin (- 66 kg) included. Meanwhile, Alexander Gabler had to cancel his participation in the DM with a heavy heart due to an injury.
