Corinthians with an advantage in the Brazilian Under-20 Women’s Championship

Flamengo and Internacional were tied. Return games take place next Wednesday, 6th, at 3pm



After almost four months, due to the under-20 and under-17 World Cups, the Brazilian Women’s Under-20 Championship returned last Wednesday, the 30th, with the first games of the semi-final.

Flamengo and Internacional drew and left everything for the second leg, while Corinthians gained an important advantage by beating Botafogo in the capital of São Paulo. The second semi-final game takes place next Wednesday, 6th, both at 3pm.

Opening the semi-final games, Flamengo hosted Internacional at the Estádio Luso Brasileiro, and drew 1-1, leaving everything open for the second game. The Gurias Coloradas started better and opened the scoring in the 10th minute, with Bianca Martins, with a header.

Meninas da Gávea tried to equalize by creating plays through the exchange of passes, however, they found it difficult to complete the plays. The draw only occurred 24 minutes into the second half, with Mariana.

Big advantage for Brabinhas do Timão, hosting Botafogo at Parque São Jorge, Corinthians won 1-0, with a goal scored by Manu Olivan, one of the team’s main players, in the first half.

The match was very balanced, with Botafogo taking the lead, however, the goal was disallowed and, in the 40th minute, it was Timão’s turn to take the lead and have their goal validated by the referees.

In the complementary stage, Corinthians managed to manage the advantage, without getting too scared from the Gloriosas, maintaining the result for the second game.
