The sports facilities of the Bagnolais tennis club T3CBM, which belong to the Orano Dismantling Social and Economic Committee, will be sold to a private investor. The mayor of Bagnols and the club representatives are up in arms.
At the T3CBM tennis club, located in the countryside in the Berret area in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, anger is brewing over the planned sale of its sports facilities by the CSE (social and economic committee) of Orano dismantling in Marcoule , who owns it. “The CSEs decided to sell to a private investor. He offers 193,000 euros while we offer to buy it, with the town hall, 170,000 euros, there is not much difference” explains Robert Brisedoux, the president of the Bagnols-Marcoule Sports Association which brings together the 23 sports clubs labeled “Marcoule” including the tennis club. “In the 170,000 euros, we include the 70,000 euros recently invested by the tennis club and the shooting club, next door, which is part of the facilities for sale” he specifies.
To express their dissatisfaction, the leaders of AS Bagnols-Marcoule, tennis and sports shooting clubs, and the mayor of the city organized a press conference on Thursday, October 10, in the presence of presidents of other clubs. of the sports association. “The club has been here for 40 years, 60 years since it existed. Over the years, many volunteers have given their time to the community and we have invested money. We have employees. This sale to a private person is unacceptable!” says Michel Boisson, president of T3CBM.
The mayor of Bagnols, Jean-Yves Chapelet, is not angry. “It’s a real injustice. We’ve been in discussions with the CSE for months. The town hall, which pays subsidies to associations, has invested, the volunteers have invested… This club creates social bonds. There has 300 tennis members in Bagnols, a hundred shooting members. They are the unions who manage the CSE, the CGT. And they are the ones who want to sell to a private party who is going to make padel courts, because they are the highest bidder. , for a few thousand euros? Unions cannot behave like the worst bosses! “. The mayor is all the more upset as he knows that the share of subsidies provided by the CSE Orano dismantling “will disappear” with the closure of the Orano subsidiary at the end of 2025.”The presidents of the clubs will come to see me…”
“For the moment, only the purchase offer has been signed by the elected representatives of the CSE“the association representatives believe they know. And if the sale escapes them“we hope to recover the 70,000 euros investment we made”. On the town hall side, “we would not want to go as far as the right of pre-emption to buy the land. I have only used it once since 2008…” recalls Jean-Yves Chapelet.
“The dismantling CSE Orano, which will close at the end of 2025, acts in the interest of employees”
“We must place this sale in context. Orano dismantling will close on December 31, 2025, it is a strategic choice of the company. And therefore the CSE (social and economic committee) will also close” recall Perrine Hocquet, secretary of the CSE Orano dismantling and Laurent Obino, assistant secretary. “The CSE must therefore sell the Berret land. The elected representatives of the CSE discussed in 2020 with the tennis and shooting associations for the resumption of the area and to perpetuate sporting activities” they explain.
“We had several discussions. Our proposal was 150,000 euros, while the estimate was more than 200,000 euros. We took into account the 50,000 euros of investments made by the clubs. We are not disappointed. agreement on the figure of 70,000 euros We must not forget that the CSE has also invested in the installations since 2019 to the tune of 53,000 euros…”. While “the associations’ counter-proposal was 100,000 euros”, a private buyer offered 193,000 euros. “We signed the purchase offer” they confirm. We understand the anger of the sports association. We would have preferred to sell to him, but we are elected from the CSE, we act in the interest of the company’s employees. 120 of them will have to be reclassified.” specify the trade unionists who are surprised that the mayor of Bagnols has “participated in this press conference this Thursday”.
Furthermore, with the closure of the CSE Orano dismantling, “our subsidies to the twenty clubs of AS Bagnols Marcoule will stop but those of the CSE CEA will continue” underline the two union representatives.
