FC Bayern Extends Contract with Basketball Veteran Elias Harris Until 2026

FC Bayern is sticking with basketball veteran Elias Harris. The 35-year-old extended his contract with the champions and cup winners by two seasons until 2026. “I feel really comfortable here and can develop both athletically and personally,” said Harris in a club statement. Managing director Marko Pesic emphasized: “Elias is a very important part of our team on and off the court and there was no question for us that we did not want to do without his experience and qualities.”

The former national player, who played for several years in the Bundesliga at Brose Bamberg and a few months in Ludwigsburg, came to Munich in 2022. Since then, he has mainly been a substitute player at Bayern with less playing time, but always knew how to impress when he was needed. What has now earned him the contract extension: “He has a lot more in the tank and is fortunately part of the core of the team that will remain with us,” emphasized Pesic. Oscar da Silva from FC Barcelona and Kevin Yebo, who comes from the Niners Chemnitz, were previously presented as new signings for the Munich team.
