VTH Sports Games Tour brings Olympic spirit to Loches with Archery, Fencing, Badminton, Handball, and Boccia Demonstration

Archery, fencing, badminton, handball but also adapted sport with a boccia demonstration (1)… There was a little air of the Olympic Games, Wednesday June 12, 2024, in the square on rue François-Sicard, in the Bas-Clos district in Loches.

Around a hundred children participated

Val Touraine Habitat (VTH), the department’s main social landlord, organized the Lochoise leg of its sports games tour that began a few weeks ago through six towns in Indre-et-Loire.

In partnership with the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee (CDOS) of Indre-et-Loire but also local associations such as the Loches Sud Touraine Youth Service and local sports clubs, such as handball and badminton.

Around a hundred children, accompanied by their parents or leaders from the Lochois leisure centers, were able to benefit from the demonstrations and activities organized.

“The idea is to get closer to the foot of the buildings in order to offer residents and their children the opportunity to go out, get to know each other and create social connections”summarized Yannick Prin, head of the VTH agency in Loches.
