The Vizcaya dinghy sailing championship took place over two days in the Biscayan waters of the Abra, both with northwesterly winds. The participants of the José Luis de Ugarte Sailing School completed six routes in the different classes after the tests scheduled by the Regatta Committee, in the first one with wind of almost 20 knots and on Sunday without reaching eight. Lola Criado won in the Optimist class, with 6 points, compared to Laura Angulo’s 8 – first under 13 – and Alfonso Domingo’s 15, who completed the podium. Unai Merino won in Optimist 2. The Snipe class went to Miguel Oraá and Inés Viar, who took first place in the six routes. Carlos Morata and Borja Churruca were second and Óscar Gómez and Aníbal Herrero third. In 420 Jon Verastegui and Vera Aguirre won the Bizkaia Championship, with five first places and one second, and in ILCA 4 Fernando Gómez won. At the awards ceremony, held next to the Sailing School with a good atmosphere, there were details and gifts from Go Sailing Shop, represented by Enrique Arriola.
