The favorite, the flop, the path of the Belgians: the predictions of the Diables team for the Euro

Euro 2024 football begins this Friday evening with, on the program, the opening match between Germany, the organizing country, and Scotland at 9 p.m.

In order to preface this more than indecisive European Championship, we asked RTBF’s special correspondents to the Red Devils to get involved. Who will win ? Who will be the disappointment? What path for the Belgians?

Lancelot Meulewaeter
The final winner: Germany
The disappointment: Spain
Devils : “I’m going to bet on a quarter-final for the Devils. I’m expecting a good tournament from them, without being excellent or bad. We’ll quickly come up against a favorite and I think we’ll be missing something against to the European gratin.”

Vincent Langendries
The final winner: France
The disappointment: Spain
Devils : “1/4 final: this is the level of Belgium since 2014 apart from the accident during the 2022 World Cup. I am not particularly worried about the Devils. Going to 1/4 would mean leaving a quality team in 1 /8. There will probably be no small country in the last eight teams. If our opponent is not France, it could be the Netherlands or Portugal.

Manu Jous
The final winner: France
The disappointment: the Netherlands
Devils : “A quarter-final… maximum. We have the easiest group in our tournament history. If we add to that the regulations with the four best third-placed players, we will therefore get out of our group without any problem. Fate will already be able to reserve us a big caliber at the stage of the round of 16. If the logic is respected, we would be opposed to France in 1/4.
