Riom-ès-Montagnes Badminton Club Welcomes New Members at Open Day

Riom-ès-Montagnes. New members of the badminton club. The open day, organized at the municipal gymnasium, by the Badminton club Riomois du Haut Cantal (BCRHC), was aimed at young people and adults and was well attended, both in terms of new practitioners and people interested in join the club next year.

Young and old came to try this complete sport which adapts to everyone’s abilities. Recognized as a complete sport because all the muscles of the body are used, practicing badminton allows you to work on balance and coordination of movements. It is also a sport that improves speed, endurance, skill and concentration and, what’s more, is fun. After the physical activity, a refreshment bar and pastries made by the licensees were available to the badistas. This day ended with the general assembly chaired by Samuel Roche. The club has 37 licensees for the 2023-2024 season. During the year, the club participated in the “24 hours, we don’t give up” for the benefit of ASM SOS for the preparation of breakfasts, a raffle at Christmas, the Galette des Rois and open days.

The plans for the coming season are interclubs with surrounding clubs and a tournament open to all in the fall.

Training takes place at the municipal gymnasium on Mondays from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursdays from 8:15 p.m. to 10 p.m.
