Preview of the Nantes International Badminton Challenge: Top Players Set to Compete

The Nantes International Badminton Challenge starts today at 9 a.m. Played in the Metropolitan Hall of Trocardière until Sunday, this third edition will bring together nearly 300 players, including some members of the world top 50. A dozen of them will even be at the Olympic Games in a few weeks. The plateau is raised, confirms Adeline Sergent. Frenchwoman Qi Xuefei could play spoilsport

In men’s singles, the first two seeds are French, with Alex Lanier (world No. 38) and Arnaud Merklé (No. 41), victorious in 2023 and ambassador of this 2024 edition. I am willing to bet that we could find them in the final, says the manager.

On the women’s side, on paper, it is the Danes who act as favorites, with Line Chirstophersen (N°27) and Julie Dawall Jakobsen (N°39).
