Peru and Chile tie at nothing

The selections of Peru and Chile did not hurt each other but they caused yawns this Friday in Arlington, in a match that closed the first day of group A and left the first goalless draw of the championship that takes place between June 20 and July 14.

With a stand filled mainly by Bicolor fans at the AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas, the team led by the Uruguayan Jorge Fossati and those led by the Argentine Ricardo Gareca left a lot to be desired and gave up first place in the group to Argentina who had beaten Canada 2-0 in the opening match.

Next Tuesday, June 25, in group A, Peru will face Canada in Kansas City while in the second hour Argentina and Chile will close the day in East Rutherford.
