NFL Owner Offers America Home in United States for Entire Campaign: A Game-Changer for Mexican Soccer

Julio Ibáñez, a TUDN reporter, revealed in Insiders that an NFL owner, most likely from Texas (either the Houston Texans or the Dallas Cowboys) offered America to be home for an entire campaign in the United States.

The Águilas are very interested in having their home games outside of Mexico City, as the remodeling work on the Azteca Stadium is completed.

América also considers other places within the country, such as Guadalajara or border cities, in addition to the fact that there has been constant talk of the Ciudad de los Deportes Estdio in Mexico City.

America had practically closed the doors to playing an official Liga MX match at home in the United States due to FIFA’s restriction on an official local competition being played outside the original territory, something that has recently changed.
