Milwaukee Bucks Bolster Coaching Staff for Championship Push

The Milwaukee Bucks coaching staff continues to change. If in the middle of the 2023-24 season they fired Adrian Griffin to acquire the services of Doc Rivers, they are now working to complete a staff that allows the veteran coach to work with all the guarantees.

Along those lines, a couple of days ago we learned that Darvin Ham returns to the Wisconsin organization as an assistant, a job he accepted after being fired by the Los Angeles Lakers. Well, this is not the only addition to help Doc.

As reported by Marc Stein, Greg Buckner is expected to join Doc Rivers’ staff at the Bucks in the coming days. Buckner was JB Bickerstaff’s associate head coach at the Cleveland Cavaliers, an organization he had been with since 2020. Previously, Bucker was an assistant with the Memphis Grizzlies, exactly between 2017 and 2019.

Milwaukee’s plan is to put everything on the table to go in search of the ring in 2025. For now, steps are being taken in the technical field, but it undoubtedly sounds more necessary to also get the decisions right regarding the preparation of a squad that will once again be led by Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
