Hennessy Takes Over NBA Fest in Japan 2024, Releases Limited-Edition Apparel Line in Collaboration with Mitchell & Ness

Since its founding in 1765, Hennessy has revolutionized the world of cognac and continues to make its presence known as the world’s most beloved cognac. In 2019, Hennessy signed the first official spirits partner contract with the NBA in league history, and this year marks its fifth year. Hennessy will now set up a POP UP BAR at the “NBA Fest in Japan 2024” and serve original cocktails at its booth as the official spirits of the NBA. Fans who visited the venue enjoyed the heated NBA games with cocktails that matched the world view of the event.

NBA champion and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Ray Allen appeared as a special guest at the event, and together with the fans, he watched Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Boston Celtics vs. Dallas Mavericks, via live viewing.

In commemoration of this event, Mitchell & Ness and Hennessy have released a limited-edition collaborative apparel line starting June 14th (Friday). Mitchell & Ness, an iconic Philadelphia-based sportswear brand supported by true sports fans, has teamed up with Hennessy to release a limited-edition collection of apparel and accessories that celebrates the lifestyle and culture of the NBA while expressing the partnership driven by the passion for authenticity, excellence, and innovation shared by the two brands. The first 30 customers to purchase the items were gifted an original Hennessy basketball, and many fans were seen wearing the items they purchased and enjoying the event.

Hennessy XO is the legendary cognac that was first given the name “eXtra Old” in 1870.

Its origins date back to the Hennessy family’s secret collection of aged eaux-de-vie for close family and friends.

It began as a special blend by the third-generation owner, Maurice Hennessy. In 1947, Gerard de Geoffre, a direct descendant of the Hennessy family, designed the current bottle, which is based on a grape cluster motif.
