French Flavor: 2024 NBA Draft Prospects from France

French Flavor: 2024 NBA Draft Prospects from France

In just over ten days, the 2024 Draft could feature five French people who dream of the NBA. For Zaccharie Risacher, Alexandre Sarr, Tidjane Salaün, Pacome Dadiet and Melvin Ajinca, here are the latest trends which provide information on the sauce with which they will be eaten. Yum, we’re salivating in anticipation.

Zaccharie Risacher, potential number one

The Bourg-en-Bresse winger and the Perth interior had been in the top 2 for several weeks. But a few days before the ceremony, it’s rather Zaccharie Risacher who seems to be popular to be selected before everyone else. In a recent article, ESPN praised its off-ball defense, considered the most efficient of the entire vintage.

Risacher trained this week with the Atlanta Hawks and the San Antonio Spurs, where the latest rumors suggest that a trade to recover the No. 1 pick is not completely impossible. Even in the event of a change of heart, Zaccharie should not fall very low on June 26.

  • ESPN announces him in 1st position (Atlanta Hawks)
  • Bleacher Report the ad in 1st position (Atlanta Hawks).
  • CBS Sports the ad in 1st position (Atlanta Hawks).
  • The Ringer the ad in 1st position (Atlanta Hawks).

Alexandre Sarr to complete the top 2?

If there is no longer consensus to be selected with the first pick, you don’t have to go down much to see his name in the draft tables. According to Evan Sidery, the Washington Wizards should not be asked if the 2m16 interior is still available. After a visit and a workout with the franchise, the Frenchman’s destiny seems rather secure. Sarr is considered one of the prospects with the greatest potential.

  • ESPN l’annonce en 2è position (Atlanta Hawks)
  • Bleacher Report the announcement in 2nd position (Washington Wizards).
  • CBS Sports the announcement in 2nd position (Washington Wizards).
  • The Ringer the announcement in 2nd position (Washington Wizards).

Tidjane Salaün well anchored in the lottery

Recently invited to the green room like his two comrades who precede him, Tidjane Salaün should not leave the first fourteen choices of the 2024 NBA Draft. While there is a general consensus about its potentialfranchises such as the Spurs, Pistons, Blazers and Thunder could well take the plunge.

If the former strong winger from Cholet enters the top 10, it would be the first time in the history of the draft that a nation outside the USA places three nuggets so high. Cock-a-doodle Doo.

  • ESPN announces him in 8th position (San Antonio Spurs)
  • Bleacher Report the announcement in 12th position (Oklahoma City Thunder).
  • CBS Sports the announcement in 13th position (Sacramento Kings).
  • The Ringer the announcement in 7th position (Portland Trail Blazers).

Pacome Dadiet and Melvin Ajinca to complete the quintet

Pacôme Dadiet is the fourth Frenchie who has a chance of being called up by Adam Silver in the first round on June 26. If nothing is assured, the former Ulm player explained during the Treviso Combine that he already had a floor of workout planned.

  • ESPN l’annonce en 38è position (New York Knicks)
  • Bleacher Report the announcement in 29th position (Utah Jazz).
  • CBS Sports the announcement in 36th position (Indiana Pacers).
  • The Ringer the announcement in 26th position (Washington Wizards).

Regarding Melvin Ajinca, his turn is still expected around places 40 to 50 in the NBA Draft. After showing himself in front of Portland’s recruiting teams recently, the young winger can perhaps hope to move up to the pick 40 that the Oregon front office is becoming.

  • ESPN announces him in 47th position (Orlando Magic)
  • Bleacher Report the announcement in 44th position (Houston Rockets).
  • CBS Sports the announcement in 52nd position (Golden State Warriors).
  • The Ringer the announcement in 48th position (San Antonio Spurs).
