Forlì Basketball Fans Show Strong Support Despite Limited Playoff Games

The 2015 basketball playoffs were limited ‘only’ to four home games, including the quarterfinals and semifinals. Nonetheless, the red and white club still placed among the top in Serie A2. With an average of 3,306 spectators in the matches against Vigevano and Trieste, Forlì is fourth in the category in the playoffs. Only Trieste (5,453), Fortitudo Bologna (4,680) and Cantù (4,236) were able to do better, although distant. The Forlì fans, however, did better even than a club that snatched promotion, with Trapani stopping at 2,887 attendances. Fourth place in the category also for the average takings (47,098 euros per game), even if no home match was among the games with the highest audience in the playoffs. Important numbers, albeit slightly down compared to last year, when in the post-season Forlì recorded 3,661 attendances per match. The failure to reach the final promotion had a negative impact. Game 1 and game 2 against Vanoli Cremona, twelve months ago, attracted 4,514 spectators (it was the record match of the entire playoffs) and 4,286 spectators respectively. ‘Only’ 58% fill rate.
