College Gymnasium Awards Ceremony Recognizes Sporting Achievements for the Year

Many of them came to the college gymnasium this Friday, June 14 to officially receive the medals they obtained during the various UNSS championships for this school year. This ceremony closes a great season with several departmental champion titles (winter athletics, dance, summer athletics, badminton, climbing and gym in the excellence category) and several academic titles or podiums (athletics, badminton, climbing and gym).

Thus, at the end of the year, the gymnasts participated in the French championship in Cabestani in the Pyrénées-Orientales where they ranked 24th out of 28 teams, most of them from sports sections. It was a very good performance, because the gymnasts (Jeanne Chouvy, Jade Pascal, Ella Boyer, Nina and Julia Soares de Carvalho) attempted and succeeded in new difficulties and therefore improved their total points. The young official Mila Arrouart obtains her national diploma.

For their part, the climbers also took part in the French championships in Gémozac in Charentes-Maritimes where they finished 12th out of 26 in excellence and 14th in the general classification. This represents a great performance since three of them are only in the junior category. To accompany them, two young officials Noémie Bay and Aubin Moulergue were part of the trip and they both passed their national diploma.

To end this sporting year, 50 of them will leave on Monday for Ste Enimie in the Gorges du Tarn for a stay of outdoor activities and others will represent the college on Tuesday June 18 at the Olympic day organized by the committee of Generation 2024 departmental management which will bring together around 700 young college students from the department.
