Chris Finch extends four years as head of the Minnesota Timberlows in the NBA

Minnesota has decided to focus on continuity. Third in the regular season (56-26, best record since the 2003-2004 season) and finalists in the Western Conference (defeat against Dallas), the Wolves had one of the best seasons in their history under the leadership of Chris Finch.

At 55, the American coach has been able to build a solid squad around the leaders of the franchise, such as Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns and the Frenchman Rudy Gobert.

Minnesota on the way to the title?

Appointed head coach in 2021, Chris Finch has brought Minnesota three consecutive times to the play-offs, a first since the 2000s for the franchise. This success can be partly explained by the defensive culture he established. This four-year extension therefore resonates as the logical continuation of a team increasingly cut out for the title.
