Nys leads Ulissi and Buchmann on the line during the 3rd stage of the Tour of Hungary

Thibau Nys (Lidl-Trek) disgusted Emanuel Buchmann (Bora-Hansgrohe) on the line. The Belgian came back on the German, who had started 2 km from the summit, in the last meters to offer himself his greatest victory in the mountains, he who was above all seen as an all-purpose runner with a good touch of speed… before winning a victory at the summit in Salvan on the last Tour de Romandie. At 21, he confirms the hopes placed in him by Lidl-Trek and shows that he can shine anywhere. Too short, Diego Ulissi (UAE Emirates) ranks 2nd ahead of Emanuel Buchmann.

Overall, Nys takes power with a 4 second lead over Ulissi, taking advantage of the bonuses at the finish. Buchmann is 6 seconds behind while Oscar Rodriguez (Ineos Grenadiers) is 9th at 27″. Positions can change on Saturday with a 4th hilly stage, before a final mountain stage on Sunday.
