Liverpool will be fine without me

There are concerns that Liverpool will be in limbo after the death of Juergen Klopp. However, Klopp is confident that the Reds will be fine because they are in the right hands.

Klopp will play his last match as Liverpool manager when he faces Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield, Sunday (19/5/2024) evening WIB. This will be the most awaited moment for all Liverpool fans because this will be the last time they see Klopp on the sidelines.

Klopp’s departure will definitely leave a big hole in the hearts of fans and the club, considering that the man from Germany was so revered for his achievements over the past 8.5 years.

He won eight titles, including the Premier League and Champions League. The main thing is the Premier League because it was the first title in that era and ended the league trophy drought for 30 years.

Apart from that, Liverpool also played attractively while being handled by Klopp. It is natural that there is anxiety in the minds of supporters and perhaps players about the future of the team without Klopp.

Moreover, his replacement, Arne Slot, “only” comes from the Eredivisie, which is far below the Premier League level. Plus there will be a major overhaul of the coaching staff and squad.

Klopp tried to dismiss these concerns considering that Liverpool is now in a stable situation, compared to when he first arrived in October 2015. Klopp is confident that Slot as his successor will be able to do his job well.

“The very positive thing for Liverpool is that no matter who leaves, the club is in a very, very good position,” said Klopp in ESPN.

“A very good manager is coming in and we all have these players. The club is in good hands. People might be worried about the future, but I’m not. I really want this club to keep doing well. I never think ‘Oh, my where will the club be without me?’ No, no. Everything will be fine.”
