Many wonder what the life of Juan Carlos Toja was like, that midfielder who became known in Independiente Santa Fe in 2003 and who quickly became one of the great promises of Colombian football, even reaching the Colombia Under-20 National Team. South American champion, but ended up retiring very young.

Today, Toja is 38 years old and was forgotten, but after retiring in 2012 at the New England Revolution, the Bogota native began to prepare academically to continue being linked to soccer, allowing him to be signed by Fortaleza CEIF as director of the minor divisions.

It should be remembered that, within his experience as a player, Toja played for River Plate, Dallas, Steaua Bucharest, Aris, until finally at the Revolution he decided to say goodbye to professional football due to constant injuries. In addition, he managed to be called up to the senior national team to play in the 2010 qualifiers with Eduardo Lara, this being his last appearance with his nation.
