Discover the Thrilling Sport of Horseback Archery at Cap Découverte

This Sunday, April 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Cap Découverte site, the Capimont equestrian center is organizing a horseback archery competition.

A little-known but particularly spectacular sport to discover with the family.

An Asian tradition

Bruno and Nathalie Coutouly, managers of the equestrian center, present this sport: “Combination of horse riding and archery, which comes from Asian traditions”.

A specialty already well established at Capimont since Bruno, the father, and Titouan, the son, have already participated in the international Open Gauchoux competition last August, with 17 nations represented.

A very spectacular and very sporting discipline: “The objective is to shoot arrows in a specific time and in motion, in one or more targets in a straight line or on a hilly hunting course, on a supervised track. The aesthetics of the gesture and the difficulty of combining speed and precision make up its charm.”
