While a few rounds before the end of the tournament in the Great Hall, three candidates are entering the home stretch, meaning the competition for the right to challenge the world champion is reaching its climax, there is still a completely different chess life in Toronto. One that has absolutely nothing to do with insomnia, nervousness, concentration, stubbornness, silence or doping tests, that is to say with insomnia because maybe you should just go to bed earlier. Every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. (there’s no other way to say it) there is a very special chess evening in the Madison Avenue Pub: Pub Chess.
