Barcelona focuses on El Clasico after being eliminated from the Champions League


Barcelona dropped their suitcase from the Champions League after being kicked out by Paris Saint-Germain. The cules shifting focus to El Clasico this weekend.

The second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals brings together Barcelona vs PSG. The duel took place at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, Wednesday (17/4/2024) early morning WIB.

Barcelona came with a 3-2 advantage in the first leg. The Blaugrana even made their fans cheer in the 12th minute with Raphinha’s goal, changing the aggregate to 4-2.

Disaster struck Barcelona in the 29th minute after Ronald Araujo received a red card. Momentum is now turning towards Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG mercilessly scored four goals through Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha and Kylian Mbappe’s brace. The Parisians won 4-1 over Barcelona and progressed with an aggregate of 6-4.

Xavi Hernandez regretted Barcelona’s defeat to PSG. He considered that his team was robbed because of Ronald Araujo’s red card.

On the one hand, Xavi asked the Barcelona squad to get up and look at the next match. Robert Lewandowski cs is scheduled to visit Real Madrid headquarters in El Clasico, Monday (22/4) early morning WIB.

“We are disappointed, angry, because this match determines the whole match. It is too much to get a red card,” said Xavi, as reported by Brand.

“I will watch this match while waiting for the players to recover, this is a tough struggle. This team competed very well. We have to maintain that,” he continued.

“On Sunday, we have to compete. We won’t just give up in LaLiga. [Peluang] The Spanish League still exists. We have to compete. “Hopefully we can cut three points,” said Xavi Hernandez.
