Serie B renews Boxing Day and aims for a full house – Football

Serie B aims again to attract spectators on tomorrow’s boxing day, which includes the 19th round of the championship, last of the first round. Last year the Boxing Day round recorded the record number of spectators, with the highest in Bari-Genoa (48,827).

Almost all matches will be played at the same time at 3pm, with the exception of an early match at 12.30pm, Reggiana-Catanzaro, and the postponements at 6pm and 8.30pm (Sampdoria-Bari), which will close the 2023 season of the cadet championship. The restart is scheduled for next January 13th, with a return round that for the first time will not reflect the first round, as the asymmetric calendar has been launched.

Leaders Parma will be guests of a growing Brescia and Venezia, on the pitch of last-placed FeralpiSalò, hopes to snag a few points. The last day played saw the record of goals this season, with 39 goals scored last Friday, when all the matches were played on the same day.
