The Closing Tournament of the Betsson League 1 is coming to an end and the accumulated table is getting hotter in the championship. For now, Universitario de Deportes remains the leader with 35 points after beating UTC de Cajamarca, followed by Melgar de Arequipa. Only two points behind are Sporting Cristal and Alianza Lima. Precisely, these four teams will be the ones that will start on date 17, this Monday and Tuesday. Of course, four matches of the day will be reserved to be played on Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8. Find out the details here.
This Monday the seventeenth day began to be played, with the ‘creams’ duel against UTC. Jorge Fossati’s team came in focused on getting the three points at home and thus continue climbing the table, as well as in the Accumulated. For their part, the ‘Gavilán del Norte’ will not be left behind and is preparing a game plan that will allow them to get the best possible result in the Monumental. In this match, the home team won 3-0, with goals from Luis Urruti, Williams Riveros and Edison Flores.
Four games have been scheduled for Tuesday, starting with Sporting Cristal against Sport Huancayo. The Rimenses lost the top of the Clausura and hope to recover it, although they depend on other markers to achieve it. For now, they want to get the three points in the Gallardo, also focused on the Accumulated. Sport Boys vs. Cusco FC will be another match that will be played almost at the same time as that of the light blue ones, since the first will be at 3:00 pm and the pink ones at 3:15 pm
Then, Melgar will do the same at the UNSA Monumental against Carlos A. Mannucci, where they are forced to win, taking into account that they have to rest on the 18th. For its part, Alianza Lima will visit Binacional in Juliaca, a complicated place, but one that they hope to overcome, despite the more than 3,500 meters above sea level. For the advantage of the intimates, they will have two more duels with which they can continue adding to the Accumulated.
After these commitments have been disputed, date 17 will continue until Saturday, October 7, the date on which the clashes between Municipal and Cienciano were scheduled, as well as that of Garcilaso against Cantolao, the first in the Iván Elías Moreno and the second in the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega of Cusco. Finally, on Sunday the 8th the Atlético Grau vs. Alianza Atlético and ADT vs. Trade Union.
