Relievers Matt Bowman, Zach McAllister and Anthony Misiewicz (remembered for being hit in the head by a ball during a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates) had a lightning appearance in the 2024 contest. Between the three of them they have accumulated 12 innings of work this season.
They were all minor league pitchers and received their emergency call-up to the Major Leagues. Any of them could return to the team in the next game with a minor league contract, but the reality is that the Yankees want to close their history within the organization.
