Growing Attraction: Guingamp Badminton Expands to Nine Competitive Teams

It’s an exponential development. At the end of a very good 2022-2023 season punctuated by an accession to departmental D1 for its mixed 1 team, Guingamp badminton continues to grow. President Benjamin Clidi and his team have notably recorded the signatures of around ten members from other clubs, proof of a certain attractiveness. “We are happy to inspire new players,” appreciates correspondent Goulven Brigant. Some arrived for team 1 and others for team 2.”

From four to nine teams competing

These recruits were joined by a few bad players without a club during the previous year. When certain elements already present have expressed their desire to play competitively. To the point of seeing Guingamp badminton more than double its list of teams. If the association had four last season, it will have nine this year. In three different categories. “There will be four mixed ones, three men’s and two women’s,” announces Goulven Brigant. All will evolve at the departmental level and illustrate the growth of the club.
