French Badminton Player Alex Lanier Advances in World Championships while Partner Malya Hoareau Withdraws

In his quest for a gold medal which would make him the first French world champion in history, Strasbourg’s Alex Lanier easily passed the first obstacle that came his way this Tuesday in Spokane (United States) at the world championships in its category. He overcame the Spaniard Alvaro Moran in 29 minutes (21-9, 21-15). This Wednesday, he will face the winner of the duel between the Japanese Daigo Tanioka and the Dane William Bogebjerg in the round of 16.

Her ASPTTS partner Malya Hoareau, injured during her victory against the American Nicole Krawczyk (21-10, 21-18) on the night of Monday to Tuesday, withdrew before her second round.
