During a check, the police in Ronnenberg caught an e-scooter driver who was traveling without insurance. The 30-year-old then had to push his vehicle home.

Empelde. In connection with the anger that many Ronnenbergers feel about the many e-scooters in the city, citizens have recently called for more police checks. The Ronnenberg officials stopped an e-scooter user without insurance during such a check on Monday.

A radio patrol car crew checked a 30-year-old Ronnenberger who was riding an e-scooter on Nenndorfer Straße in Empelde around 2 p.m. After the officers discovered that the vehicle did not have insurance coverage, they prohibited the user from continuing to drive. He had to push his e-scooter home. Proceedings were initiated against him for violating the Compulsory Insurance Act.
