According to Massachusetts State Police, the man, identified as Dale Mooney 53 years old, lost his life due to an “apparent medical event.”
Emergency services transported Mooney to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 11 p.m. (local time).
According to information from CBS Boston, authorities have launched an investigation to determine the events prior to the man’s death; no charges have been filed.
ANOTHER FAN WAS CLOSE TO DIE
Mooney’s case was not the only one during the game, as another Patriots fan nearly lost his life after suffering cardiac arrest.
According to reporter Bridget Condon, the tragedy was prevented thanks to two firefighters who were in the stadium off duty, who intervened and performed CPR maneuvers.
