Second assessment of the season for the ranking of top European scorers. We find the scorers who shook the nets in Germany, England, Austria, Belgium, Scotland, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine. And after Erling Haaland last week, we have a new player who has taken the lead in this ranking. He is well known in Ligue 1, because he is Serhou Guirassy. The 27-year-old Guinean striker is on fire with Stuttgart as he already has 8 goals in 4 games. With the Swabians, he simply scored a hat-trick in the 3-1 victory against Mainz.

He is one unit ahead of Kylian Mbappé who moves up to second place. Starting off on an enormous basis, the French striker has simply scored 7 goals in 4 matches with Paris Saint-Germain. Against Nice and despite a 3-2 defeat, he scored a nice double which allowed him to make a nice comeback in the standings. Just behind him, the podium is obviously completed by Erling Haaland. Although a scorer against West Ham (3-1), the Norwegian slipped in the ranking following the solid performances of the competitors. However, his start to the season remains very convincing with already 7 goals in 5 matches.

Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez in ambush

Failing just below the podium, Mateo Cassierra comes in fourth place with 7 goals in 8 matches. The Colombian who scored against Rubin Kazan (3-0) loses two places, but remains very well positioned. Fifth, the Greek Vangelis Pavlidis is credited with 6 goals in 4 matches following a new goal with AZ Alkmaar against Sparta Rotterdam (2-0). It’s as much as Santiago Gimenez but with a few minutes less. Sixth, the Mexican scorer from Feyenoord also distinguished himself against Heerenveen (6-1). Direction Turkey with seventh place for Mauro Icardi. With 5 goals in 4 matches, the Galatasaray player scored again in the 4-2 victory against Samsunspor.

Eighth, his compatriot Lautaro Martinez did not score despite the demonstration of Inter Milan against AC Milan (5-1). This time he preferred the passer’s tunic even if his record remains impressive with 5 goals in 4 matches. Playing 350 minutes like Lautaro Martinez and having identical statistics, Jonas Wind joins him in eighth place. The Danish striker is excellent this season with Wolfsburg where his new goal helped win against Union Berlin (2-1). Finally, tenth place goes to Jude Bellingham. Despite a good match against Real Sociedad (2-1), the Real Madrid midfielder remains stuck at 5 goals in 5 matches.

Just behind and also having a very good record of 5 goals at the start of the season, we find nine other players. Thus, Jonathan Okita (FC Zurich), Sinan Karweina (Austria Klagenfurt), Kevin Denkey (Cercle Bruges), Vincent Janssen (Antwerp), Fedor Chalov (CSKA Moscow), Anton Zabolotny (CSKA Moscow), Dennis-Yerai Eckert Ayensa (Union Saint-Gilloise), Mama Baba Thiam (Kayserispor) and Maximilian Entrup (Hartberg) remain in ambush and could quickly land in this ranking.
