The streets of Valladolid will host the only timed stage of the 78th Tour of Spain in a day that should serve to establish the first notable differences between the main contenders for the final red jersey.
This tenth stage will take place over a 25.8-kilometre route, half an hour of effort to the limit, starting and finishing in Valladolid, in the that they will have to face a small initial slope and then enter an area of long straights in which the power of the rollers will be what will make the difference.
La Vuelta prepares to live a day without masks
If the weather conditions do not condition the development of the test, the Belgian Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-Quick Step) will start as a favorite to win the partial victory, without forgetting the two leaders of the Jumbo-Visma, the Slovenian Primoz Roglic and Olympic champion of the specialty and the Danish Jonas Vingegaard.
For the rest, the main objective will be to try to minimize damage and leave the capital of Pucelana with a disadvantage that will not get them down in the two weeks ahead of the fight for the red jersey.
