Former Inter president Massimo Moratti, 78 years old, was hospitalized at the Galeazzi hospital in Milan where he underwent an angioplasty operation which had already been scheduled for a few months. According to what appears to the Courier, the conditions are stable, the doctors are confident regarding the post-operative progress.
Moratti is the CEO of Saras and in the past led Inter for 18 years. Under his management the Nerazzurri won a UEFA Cup, five league titles, three Italian cups, three Italian Super Cups and above all the 2010 Champions League: the year of Mourinho’s treble.
He sold the majority of Inter in 2013 to the Indonesian Thohir, holding the position of honorary president for a few months and leaving the scene when the club was purchased by Suning.
