Nienburg.
As number two on the seeding list and therefore one of the favorites, Celina Ly from Celle traveled to the U17 and U19 Badminton State Championships in Nienburg. There she impressed in several disciplines. She became U17 national champion in the individual event. And that wasn’t the only medal.
In addition to the titles to be awarded in five disciplines, there was also the nomination and qualification for the North German Youth Championship in Schüttorf at the beginning of November.
From Celle’s perspective there were very pleasing results: Kacper Arkita and Tilmann Wessel came in a good fifth place in the U17 youth doubles. Celina Ly had a golden weekend. In the final, the woman from Celle defeated the European Championship participant from BV Gifhorn Leonie Wronna in three sets with 21:18, 18:21, 21:14. In the mixed doubles, Ly and her partner Budsha Keo Boun Khoune were only stopped in the final and took silver. In the U19 women’s doubles, one age group higher, she and her partner Lejla Huric (MTV Nienburg) reached third place.
In addition to the continuous development of their understanding of the game through courses and tournaments, the additional training measures in the club are also the basis for this success. In addition to the athletic plans prescribed by the state coach, the club training at Celler BC was coordinated with other units at the base in Nienburg and Gifhorn.
