The BWF World Junior Mixed Team Badminton Championships 2023 started on September 25 in Spokane, the USA.
Badminton World Junior Mixed Team Championships 2023 matches, from the semi-finals onwards will be live streamed in India. The final is on September 29.
The mixed team badminton championships will be followed by the individual BWF World Junior Championships 2023 for singles and doubles, to be held at the same venue from October 2 to 10.
The Badminton Association of India (BAI) sent a 16-member team for the annual U19 tournament. Indian badminton players Unnati Hooda and Ayush Shetty are part of the squad.
In the mixed team championships, a total of 40 teams were divided in eight groups of five teams each. After round-robin matches the top teams from each group made the quarter-finals. The remaining teams play classification matches.
India topped Group D to make the final eight, where they will face Malaysia.

Group H: Thailand, USA, Slovenia, Peru, Iceland
At the last edition of the team championships held at Santander, Spain, India finished in 13th position.
