Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler made it into the quarter-finals of the doubles competition at the ATP 500 tournament in the Chinese capital Beijing.
The Lower Austrian-Tyrolean pairing, which fought its way through qualification into the main field, eliminated the number three of the tournament, the Argentinians Moltani/Gonzalez, 6:4, 6:4 in the round of 16.
The next task is the winner of the game Khachanov/Rublev (RUS) – Cui/Wang (CHN). The well-rehearsed Russian duo is clearly favored in the duel with the local heroes.
