Andrés Giménez broke a no-hitter with a home run

Andrés Giménez demonstrated all his power this Saturday. The Creole hit a home run in the Cleveland Guardians’ 2-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles.

This hit ended pitcher John Means’ no-hit, no-run game in the seventh inning and was the only hit for the Guardians.

With a count of 2-1 and two outs, Andrés Giménez saw it clearly and deposited it in the right field stands to bring Cleveland closer on the scoreboard.

Giménez left his average at .253 with 61 RBIs and 137 hits in the current Major League campaign.

In this same game, Anthony Santander went 3-for-5 with an RBI double for the Orioles’ two runs.

The winning pitcher was John Means. The defeat went to Cal Quantrill and the rescue went to the Cuban Cionel Pérez.
