Saint-Denis Hosts Two International Badminton Competitions with Spectacular Success

The city of Saint-Denis hosted two international badminton competitions at the Champ Fleuri gymnasium. After a colorful International Badminton Tournament, it was the Saint-Denis Open Tour that made the walls of the gymnasium vibrate. 50 countries attended.

True capital of sport, the city of Saint-Denis was talked about during the last days of July. The Champ Fleuri gymnasium has hosted two international badminton competitions.

The 8th edition of the International Badminton Tournament got the ball rolling. In the mixed-doubles final, we were able to find Reunionese Nicolas Hoareau, ranked 17th nationally, against a couple from Reunion who met during the first edition of the TIB. After a close match, it was finally Nicolas Hoareau and his partner who snatched victory.

The Champ Fleuri gymnasium did not have time to rest because the Saint-Denis Open Tour followed. Nearly 50 nationalities clashed on the Dionysian grounds. Among these exceptional players, some are preparing for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The competition ended on July 30, after hundreds of matches, each more gripping than the next.
