Jude Bellingham’s goal celebration against Athletic Bilbao was considered to have provoked supporters. To the extent that, Bellingham had to be reprimanded by two opposing players.
Bellingham started when Real Madrid visited San Mames, Sunday (13/8/2023) early morning WIB, in the first week of LaLiga. He played as an attacking midfielder in Carlo Ancelotti’s 4-1-2-1-2 formation.
Madrid opened the scoring in the 27th minute through Rodrygo who fired a shot from a tight angle. Bellingham then showed action in the 37th minute.
He scored a goal through a half volley following the corner from David Alaba. The ball was actually not kicked perfectly, but bounced off the ground and entered Unai Simon’s goal.
After that, Bellingham jogged towards the stands behind the Bilbao goal and spread his arms in front of the Bilbao fans. Suddenly the action made the Bilbao fans goosebumps and booed Bellingham back.
Bellingham was then approached by his colleagues to immediately complete the celebration. When Bellingham was walking towards the Madrid field, he was reprimanded by Inaki Williams.
Williams seems to have advised Bellingham not to do anything that could anger the fans. Bellingham and Williams ended up embracing.
After that it was the turn of Bilbao captain Iker Munain who reprimanded Bellingham for not celebrating.
Duh, what Jude Bellingham is all about.
