James Harden Reiterates Desire to Leave Philadelphia 76ers

Days after declaring Philadelphia 76ers president Daryl Morey a “liar,” James Harden reiterated his desire to leave the Sixers.

Interviewed by a journalist from KHO 11 in Houston on Thursday, if he thought his relationship with the 76ers was beyond repair, Harden replied, “I think so. »

“I’ve been patient all summer,” Harden said of his situation with the team. For me it’s just about focusing on what I can control and preparing for the next season. »

The star player set things alight with a powerful statement during an Adidas media event in China on Monday

“Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a player in any organization he is part of. Let me say it one more time. Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a player in any organization he is part of. »

Network’s Adrian Wojnarowski ESPNreported Saturday that the 76ers wanted to bring Harden home for training camp and the start of the season.

Philadelphia had some talks with the Los Angeles Clippers over the summer, an organization where Harden would like to continue his career.

President of team operations, Morey had agreed to explore a deal involving Harden, who is no longer happy in Philadelphia. Harden accepted a $35.6 million option year in June. The 76ers are said to have high demands to trade Harden and neither side would be willing to pay the price for the guard.

Harden had wanted to join the Sixers because of Morey’s presence in the organization. Morey was the general manager of the Houston Rockets for 13 years (2007-2020). He was the one who acquired Harden in 2012 and it was under his leadership that Harden became a star player.
