The 36-year-old Usyk will fight against British boxer Daniel Dubois on Saturday at the Wroclaw Stadium, which has a capacity of about 45,000 spectators.
Dubois, 25, is a mandatory contender for the World Boxing Association (WBA) super-heavyweight championship belt.
In the upcoming fight, Usik will also try to protect the belts he owns in the International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Organization (WBO) and International Boxing Organization (IBO) versions.
Foreign media estimate that the total amount of boxers’ fees is about eight million US dollars. World champion Usik will receive three quarters of the amount, or 75%.
Namely, Usyk’s fee will be approximately six million US dollars, while DuBois will receive two million.
Usik is still undefeated in professional boxing – he has 20 victories, including a victory in a duel against Latvian boxer Mairi Briedi.
Dubois has 19 wins and one loss in 2020 against British boxer Joe Joyce.
