Former Boca and Tigre striker scores in debut for Genoa in Italian Cup match against Modena

The former Boca and Tigre opened the account in the duel between Genoa and Modena, for the Italian Cup. Later, he put the partial 4-2.

Mateo Retegui seems touched by the magic wand. The striker who emerged in Boca and with a great step through Tigre had already converted with the Italian team. But not satisfied with that, in his first official match at Calcio, the striker left his mark. He needed just 31 seconds to score the goal that gave Genoa a 1-0 win over Modena, for the Coppa Italia, at the Luigi Ferraris stadium. And later he stretched the distances for the partial 4-2.

The son of Chapa was close to increasing with a spectacular shot that the Modena goalkeeper, with effort, took out for a corner.

Be careful, not all were flowers for Retegui in a crazy first half. Jacopo Manconi and Luca Tremolada -after a bad start from the local in the background- turned the score around for Modena that went up 2-1.

However, before the end of the first half, in the third minute of discount, Johan Vasquez put the parda for Genoa.

Already in the second part, to the delight of Genoa, the hosts returned to the front with a goal from the Icelandic Albert Gudmundsson. And six minutes later, not satisfied with his initial blow, Retegui appeared again, insatiable, to put the partial 4-2 with a good definition of nine and with three fingers.

Modena did not give up and with 13 minutes to go they got closer on the scoreboard thanks to an appearance by Mario Gargiulo.
