The Argentine point guard and Real Madrid seemed “doomed” to understand each other from the moment the player left the NBA, although he had to make a kind of ‘technical stop’ at Red Star Belgrade for half the past season, mainly due to financial issues related to paying taxes in Spain.
Campazzo left Real Madrid in November 2020 after signing a two-year contract with the Denver Nuggets of the NBA and in July 2022 he became a free agent at the end of his contract with the Nuggets.

On an individual level, defending the Real Madrid shirt, Campazzo has been chosen twice in the ideal five of the League (2018-19 and 2019-20), 1 time MVP of the final playoff of the League (2018-2019), 2 times MVP of the Super Cup (2019 and 2020) and 1 time MVP of the Copa del Rey (2020).
He has won with the Argentine team 8 medals: 3 Gold (2012 South American Championship, 2019 Pan American Games and 2022 AmeriCup), 4 Silver (2014 South American Championship, 2015 and 2017 AmeriCup and 2019 World Cup) and 1 Bronze (2013 AmeriCup).
