Großwallstadt wins at the end of the season
On the last day of the second handball league, TV Großwallstadt was able to celebrate another win. The team from Lower Franconia defeated the Wolves from Würzburg in front of their home crowd with 29:26.
The game started evenly at first. Both teams showed a solid performance and fought for every ball. However, at half-time the Wolves Würzburg had built up a narrow lead of two goals.
In the second round, TV Großwallstadt turned up the heat and was able to win the game. With a strong final sprint, coach Ralf Bader’s team secured victory and ended the season on a happy note.
A total of 1260 spectators watched the game in the home hall and celebrated the victory at the end of the season together with the players. Despite the success, one thing remains clear: Großwallstadt must deliver even more consistent performances next season in order to be successful. Because in the second handball Bundesliga, the competition is fierce and no game is easy to win.
