The Spaniard thought he could do that again in Paris, in a team that also included Messi, Mbappé and Neymar.
But that was disappointing: 2 national titles and 1 French Supercup are the only prizes that Ramos could add to his rich list of achievements during his PSG period.
That may have been partly because Ramos was no longer the world-class defender he had been at Real. It is therefore not surprising that the 37-year-old’s contract was not renewed.
“His leadership, professionalism and team spirit combined with his experience make Sergio a true football legend. It was an honor to see him play in Paris,” said chairman Al-Khelaïfi.
